Have you seen the recent jumps of the gas price? Just thinking about the decisions and policies followed by the managers of big gas distributors, I wonder who is losing here?
Let's suppose a hike in the price of the barrel of petrol happened. How late the effect of this raise will ripple in the real market? What if some companies decide to not buy in that specific day but continue to gauge the price for the operators ? If the whole process of extraction/distribution/selling/buying is a continuous flow is obvious that someone should take the brunt. The small consumers, like me or you could skip/postpone to buy gas for a week or a few days waiting for these extra cents, but what happens with people whose life is interlaced with the price of the gas? Funny game played by the gas distribution companies! How could you explain that you could have a few prices in the same day? Add for Canadians a stronger dollar than before and I wonder, should this small advantage pass on consumers? Altough you could play at the other end, buying those companies’ stocks, you offset one loss with a potential gain (although taxable).
More surprised I was, hearing that OPEC is at the end of their production capacity. What's next? And relieved, I heard the new initiative of US to open the Arctic territories for gas prospects and exploitations.
Photo by Kyle Head on Unsplash You probably heard that swimming in rough waters in life will reveal your own character and of all the people with you, caught in that moment. Everything is unfolding slowly and without any clues that deep gaps will be revealed in any way. It is like a crack in someone's emotional fabric which becomes a wrecking ball for the characters caught in the event, for a short time span, sufficient to project them on a different life orbit, for good. Some people are calling those events "interventions", others fear them as "dark spots" where secrets are emerging as an iceberg unbalanced by some life event. The repercussions are deep and memorable and entail subsequent turmoils, like a burning lava which will flow down for many days to find a peaceful landscape to cool off. The characters are the same like in normal life ...
